Aker Solutions' Controls team based in PKFZ ,Pulau Indah is responsible for managing the system aspects of the controls element of the subsea production control system in Aker Solutions globally. We need experienced individuals to support t our long term growth plans within the oil and gas subsea market. We are looking for: Controls System Engineer
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Manage the system aspects of the controls element of the subsea production control system.
- Manage and deliver System engineering tasks within agreed timescales and budgets and reporting system status and deviations to the Product and Lead Engineer
- Prepare the technical content of fixed price bids, budgetary bids and studies including clarification to technical tenders and represent the company with the clients
- Review technical requirements of tender enquiries and propose optimum subsea control system to suit and prepare technical offer for inclusion in bid
- Generating Top Level Assemblies and Master Equipment lists in conjunction with a Draughtsman
- Organise and review Electrical and Hydraulic Analysis
- Ensure that each of the technical areas of the project communicate appropriately to ensure the timely execution of the project.
- Assist Project Managers and lead Project Engineer as the technical authority for the Project such that we build the system in compliance with accepted bid and company standards
- Ensure that the Aker Solutions Project Execution Model Execution (PEM) is correctly utilised on the Project
Qualifications and Personal Qualities
- Degree/HND/HNC in related discipline or equivalent
- Knowledge of specialist area of Subsea control systems, understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and / or electrical systems
- Ideally at least 5 years relevant experience in Controls as a senior Lead Engineer or already be employed as Controls system Engineer
- Experience of working with Clients teams at all levels in the Pre Feed, Feed, bid and Project stages
