Job Summary
- Undertake designs and analyses including interpretation of subsurface investigations, geotechnical testing results, and designs of slope works, retaining structures and foundations
- Prepare and compile design calculations, technical reports, specifications and drawings with a high standard
- Carry out site inspections as required
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical skills
- Coordinate with relevant parties to resolve technical issues
- Assist in project management activities
- Recognised Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering
- Minimum 4 to 12 years of civil engineering experience with at least half of them in geotechnical related design and consulting; Candidates with extensive experience will be considered for more senior posts
- Technically competent in the design of underground structures and foundations, high-rise building or bridge foundations, ground improvement and slope stabilisation works
- Preferably familiar with numerical analysis of soil-structure interaction
- Preferably worked in multi-disciplinary projects
- Rail, tunnelling, deep excavation and temporary works experience will be well regarded
- Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures
- Senior Engineers are expected to guide and train more junior team members
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or approaching PE status will be an advantage
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written English)
- Ability to work well with others as a team
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines
