Brief Posting DescriptionWe
are currently recruiting for a Senior Materials & Corrosion
Engineer to be located at our engineering office in Kuala Lumpur. This
role will be working for the integrity divisions of the business - Wood
Group Intetech (WGI) and Wood Group Integrity Management (WGIM). The
position offers the chance to work with a leading team and a diverse
range of projects from concept through the entire lifecycle to
decommissioning. WGI Engineers work on every type of asset and practice
an "All of Oil Field" asset integrity management approach. An exciting
opportunity to work as part of a dynamic multifunctional team in success
focused business. The position requires a self-motivated, innovative
and personable engineer with a strong technical background in materials
and/or corrosion. Potentially there are multiple roles available on
either a contract or permanent basis depending on the applicants fit to
the current projects. The post focuses on the South East Asian Region
with opportunities to interact with leading Engineers and work on
projects across a truly global organization.
Detailed Description· Management of project
· Mentoring and coaching junior staff
· Reviewing and Quality control of deliverables
· Creation of proposals and business development
· Materials Selection Studies
· Corrosion Studies
· Corrosion Risk Assessments
· Corrosion control studies
· The delivery of design engineering services and to both internal and external customers
· Failure and issue investigation
· Provide technical expertise on Materials and/or Corrosion
· RBI and other integrity related work
· Authoring, checking and issuing of design documents for both onshore and offshore pipelines and plant facilties
· Perform corrosion rate calculations, and fitness for purpose studies to ensure continuing asset integrity management
· Provide technical support to other Wood Group companies
· Correctly adhere to the Company Health, Safety, Environment, & Quality policies.
· Contribute to business development and tendering activities
· Build effective relations with Clients

Job Requirements
- A relevant recognised degree in engineering or materials related subject
- Registered professional engineer in Malaysia or is seeking such registration
- Extensive relevant materials/corrosion engineering experience within the oil and gas sector
- Experience working in a multi-discipline environment
- The ability to prioritise work to meet company and client deadlines
- An in-depth knowledge of the technical issues related Corrosion and or Materials Selection
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards
- Familiar with subsea facilities, operations, commissioning & intervention would be a distinct advantage
- Familiarity with well materials and related issues would be a distinct advantage
- Experience of the wider aspects of asset integrity would be an advantage
- Experience of well integrity and downhole materials could be an advantage
