II. JOB PURPOSE
Purpose:
- Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Major Contracts Coordinator / Engineer is responsible for the day to day commercial management and administration of the major outsourced support contracts in compliance with the award contract documentation, PETRONAS PTCAM, and Hess Contracting Procedures.
III. MAIN ACTIVITIES
Principal Accountabilities:-
- Perform role of Contract Holder with single point accountability for the commercial performance of the major contract(s)
- Development of Contract Management Plan to set out the framework for compliant commercial management and administration of the applicable contract(s)
- Interfacing with Hess Global Supply Chain to assure compliance with contract award documentation, PETRONAS PTCAM and Hess corporate contract procedures.
- Maintain commercial relationship with contractor(s) to achieve the contract deliverables
- Administer the contract in accordance with the Contract Management Plan
- Facilitate and negotiate the development of contract performance incentive KPIs to be agreed between Hess EHS, Hess Operations, Hess Global Supply Chain, and the contractor(s) ensuring the content capture incentives aligned with the business objectives.
- Once established, administer the contract KPI plan and promote a continuous improvement relationship with contractor(s)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year end contractor performance reports, highlighting exceptions
- Chair all formal contract performance management meetings between Hess and contractor(s), including but not limited to quarterly compliance meeting, reimbursement committee meetings, and annual performance review meetings.
- Promote and protect the reputation of Hess
- Adopt and promote the companies safety culture, behaviors and values
- Management of the Contract(s) expenditure within approvals
- Implement and embed the Hess Cost Management processes for real time cost transparency
- Operating in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner in line with Hess’s corporate policies and objectives and within health, safety and environmental targets.
- Promote best practice sharing in Hess and with assets globally
- Promote a contract management culture of continuous improvement adopting lean methodology
IV. JOB REQUIREMENT
- Degree or relevant qualification in an engineering or science discipline, together with a minimum of 15 years experience in oil and gas upstream operations.
- Commercial experience of contract management with minimum 5 years of experience contract management in an operations environment, including management of outsourced services.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, leadership and the ability to influence others.
- Familiar with Company policies and procedures.
- Familiar with PETRONAS contracting requirements (PTCAM)
