The Business Entity
The Global Manufacturing Operations APJC team is responsible for managing the manufacturing and fulfillment activities including PCBA manufacturing, assembly, direct fulfillment, and OEM/ODM management in the APJC region.
The Team
The South East Asia Regional Operations team is responsible for in-region manufacturing operational excellence and execution of key quality, delivery and supply chain metrics at the factories where our three main manufacturing partners are located
Role & Responsibilities
Manufacturing Engineer (ME) will be responsible for supporting and managing the technical challenges with the Manufacturing partners (MPa) of high end based telecommunication equipment. The ME will also be supporting the various business unit products that are manufactured out of the Mpa and will be accountable for the following functions at the manufacturing site:
• Quality Metrics driving (yields, bonepile, scrap rates, component fallout)
• Line stops/Purges/Quality issues leadership
• Conduct manufactruing process audits and closures.
• Vendor Scorecard and Quality Business Review (QBR) inputs ownership (Technical).
• Approve Product Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
• Write and/or approve Manufacturing Deviations
• Quote reviews and inputs.
• Context Engineer Management
• NRE review and approval.
• Assessment of MPa technical capability
• Improvement Initiatives at the factory.
• Capacity technical review.
• Factory readiness for NPI
• DFM inputs
The ME will also be expected to act as a technical leader who has significant impact on the business assigned to him/her. He/She will be expected to successfully partner with the MPa in the development of good manufacturing practices, be able to lead a team of junior engineers and represent the regional team in meetings with various groups in Cisco to share factory metrics and challenges. He/She must demonstrate good program management and communication skills and must be able to lead in the solution of manufacturing problems with the MPa.
Minimum Qualifications
The candidate needs to have a degree in Engineering with at least 7 years experiences in working in the system assembly lines with experience in CTO/BTO processes.
Desired Skills
Experience in the area of SMT/PCBA assembly ,
Experience in Optical Assembly and Technology
